Practitioner Profile: William Wessel
I have always been interested in holistic and alternative healing and was fascinated with herbal medicine at an early age. Eventually I decided to explore other modalities including acupuncture and zero balancing.
I received my Master's Degree in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in Laurel, MD. The institute is one of the oldest in the country and has become a preeminent academic institution for wellness-based education. Its integration of eastern and western thinking has empowered and transformed the lives of many. The three-year Masters of Acupuncture program consists of rigorous classroom teaching, and a rich year-and-a-half long internship in the Institute's clinic.
I have certifications in using Acupuncture for Detoxification from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) and in TCM Facial Rejuvenation from the Nefeli Institute in New York.
I am licensed by the Board of Medicine in the state of Massachusetts and hold a Diplomate of Acupuncture certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). I am also a member fo the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).
I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD and specialize in painting, photography, and Japanese-style ceramics called raku.
