Acupuncture For Detoxification
 
This is a drug-free and effective  way to help you with your addictions.  The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association's (NADA) acupuncture-based treatment has been shown to significantly decrease cravings for alcohol and drugs, withdrawal symptoms, relapses, anxiety, insomnia and agitation.  William has taken specialized course work in using acupuncture for detoxification.  He holds a certification as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist from NADA.  He knows that giving up an addiction can be scary, hard and empowering and will listen to your concerns and fears and hopes with an open heart and with no judgment.  

The treatment, which lasts approximately 30 minutes, consists of 5 small disposable needles being placed in each ear.  Your ear may tingle or feel warm during the treatment.  While the needles are in you will feel relaxed and might even fall asleep.  This treatment is also supplemented with needles on other parts of the body as well. 
 
William Wessel Lic. Ac. will work with you to find a realistic treatment time line for you.  Receiving acupuncture for addictions requires dedication and for that reason you should plan on receiving acupuncture treatments 3-5 times a week. 

These detoxification treatments cost $20 each so you can expect to pay approximately the same amount as you would if you were receiving one weekly acupuncture treatment.  For the maximum results you should plan to receive treatments for several weeks and up to 6 to 8 months, though treatments will be spread out after the initial 6-8 weeks.  However, every patient is unique and that will be taken into account so you may need more or less treatments.  William will discuss all of this with you during your initial intake.
